I’m just a simple pastor in Iowa, seeking to uplift Christ’s body through writing. Since my college days (not all that long ago!) I’ve loved writing and applying faithful interpretation of Scripture to practical issues. It’s my belief that the Bible, all 66 books, are God-breathed – God spoke without error through the human authors to bring us (in the original languages) his inerrant, infallible, holy word, (2Ti. 3:16). Because of this, I believe the Scriptures rightly understood, organized, and applied, are sufficient for the life of the church, (2Ti. 3:17).
That’s why I write – to bring the Word of God to light. That’s why I’ve called it Word for Truth – that the Word of God is our source of absolute objective truth in this world.
Why Truth Matters
16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. 2 Ti 3:16–17.
We hope to understand the truth better, but we shall never discover better truth.
